CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, you agree to notify us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session time, as failure to do so may result in a full session Cancellation Fee. This will not be covered by Medicare or other private health insurers. Continual failure to give appropriate cancellation notice may disqualify you from receiving further consultations from Allied Minds and you may be advised to seek service with another psychology provider.
LATE POLICY

If you are late to an appointment you will not be charged any additional Late Fee, however you maintain the understanding that you will be required to make payment for a full 50-minute session.
PAYMENT POLICY
​
Payment for sessions will be expected at time of service. As such, you agree to be prepared to make full payment by cash or card at the conclusion of your scheduled appointment. If you will not be able to make full payment at the conclusion of your appointment or require other payment options, you agree to notify us prior to receiving our services, at which point it is up to the discretion of our staff whether or not to provide these services to you at that time.
Failure to pay for an appointment on the day of service (before close of business) will result in your session being charged at APS recommended rates. Failure to pay for appointments may also result in additional fees. These will not be covered by Medicare or other Third Party contributors. Continual failure to make payments may disqualify you from receiving further consultations from Allied Minds, and you may be advised to seek service with another psychology provider.
Payments for Therapy, Telehealth and After Hours services may also be made through our secure online appointment booking and management system. These payments may be made ahead of time. If you pay for your session online after your appointment, this must be completed before close of business in order to avoid late payment penalties.
Prices for services may be updated on our website at any time. You agree to check these prices before your scheduled appointment.
PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Any personal information submitted to Allied Minds is used solely for business purposes related to our services. In order for you to take advantage of our services, you understand that further personal information such as contact or medical and insurance details may be required or requested from you. It is our intention that any and all personal information which Allied Minds voluntarily receives from you will be kept private and confidential. Disclosure of this information will only occur where you have given consent, or where legally necessary.
As part of the ethical code of psychology practice as well as legal client privilege rights, any information discussed between persons and a psychologist in the setting of a formal therapy session will be kept private and confidential. You understand and agree that for treatment and legal record-keeping purposes, some of this information may be recorded across various electronic and manual formats. It is our intention that any and all information which Allied Minds receives from you will be kept private and confidential. You also agree that in circumstances where this information may suggest a legitimate threat of harm against oneself or another individual(s), it may warrant that information be disclosed to appropriate legal or professional entities in order to ensure the safety of such persons.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION POLICY

All communication with Allied Minds (i.e. via email, text message, voicemail, etc.) is for business purposes related to the services which we provide only. You understand that Allied Minds is not an emergency service provider. In the case of an urgent crisis or emergency, please dial 000 immediately. Alternatively, if you or someone you know is not in imminent danger but still require immediate help, you may contact one of the following 24hr crisis and counselling services:

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at our discretion if it is seen in the best interest of Allied Minds and the services we provide for our clients.
